Michelle Wahe was there which made the day that much more special for Dane and I. Her oldest son, Alex, and Dane were born two days apart. We can believe with almost certainty that they were in the nursery together at ESWS and treasure that connection the boys have. But even more exciting was that baby Michael, who just joined their family a few weeks ago, was making his playgroup debut. Everyone was so thrilled to get to meet him. For those of you who follow their blog, to see Michael in person you get a better sense of his sweet personality. When his eyes peek up at you with his little smile, it's difficult not to squeal over the cuteness! And I must say that Michelle is doing a great job adjusting to two boys.
The wading pool was scheduled to open at 11am but there was a problem with the chlorine so we had to wait almost an hour. Everyone used that time to eat a picnic lunch together and put on sunscreen. For having to stare at a big pool on a hot day, the kids were exceptionally patient until the chlorine situation was resolved. But when they announced we could go in, there was a mad rush of kids into the pool. Dane was in heaven with all of the room to play in the water and loved scaring me to death by swimming under water and then emerging with a gasp for air, eyes bulging.
Video from the day is in the previous post.
