Halloween Fun

We had a really great Halloween this year. And may I begin by saying thank you to Dane's Auntie Jill, Uncle Nathan, and cousins Sam and Will for the fantastic monkey costume! It fit Dane perfectly even after layering underneath for warmth. After we put it on him, we had Dane take a look in the mirror. He immediately realized he was dressed up as a monkey and started to run around the house acting silly.

Grandma and Grandpa Miller came over after nap time to check out the the little monkey in his costume. Dane sat still just long enough for a quick picture with Grandpa.

Then we were off to the Hammer's for a Halloween party (see video) with all of our Lifelink friends. Kristen threw a great party with fun decorations and details like cute pumpkin-shaped PB&J sandwiches. Dane got very excited when he saw Isaiah was dressed as a gorilla - sorry no picture. We tried our best to get a group shot of the kids but I think everyone was too fired up to go trick-or-treating. Even "Wheels on the Bus" couldn't get everybody to look at the cameras!

We stayed in the Hammer's neighborhood for trick-or-treating and after a couple of houses, Dane caught on to the drill. He was a very enthusiastic trick-or-treater running to each house, insisting on climbing all the porch stairs himself, holding out his bucket, and sometimes reaching into candy bowls for more. He even stopped to flirt with a couple of Disney princesses. It was a pretty fun night to be his Mom and Dad.

Glad you had a fun Halloween! I enjoyed the videos. The second one captured the chaos!
