The Miller Fam spent the past weekend at Blackhawk Farms Raceway, a half mile from our house, at Steve's first track day of the season. Since Dane has come home, official racing days are over but there are "test and tune" days run by a private club that provide riders with plenty of track time in a much more relaxed atmosphere (read safer). These weekends will make up Steve's motorcycle season in the foreseeable future.
As we pulled into the main gate to meet Daddy, Dane heard the roar of the engines and completely melted down, wanting out of his car seat to watch. These weekends are always a fun family time for the three of us but especially for Father and Son. Steve is always so proud to show off his little guy and Dane gets so excited about his Daddy's passion which makes Steve feel pretty good too. I am in charge of packing the lunch so I don't feel left out :)
There was a special surprise for Steve on Sunday. Grandma and Grandpa Miller had driven twelve hours back from Florida to see him (and Dane - they missed each other) ride. It was so fun to see them again and a perfect day to welcome them back from snowbirding.

Oh man... Spencer would flip if he had this opportunity! I can see why Dane gets so excited!
